- A 10mg TB-500 vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5 mg/mL. 2 mg is 0.4 mL, which is 40 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
- How much bacteriostatic water should be added to a 10mg TB-500 vial?
- 2 mL is standard, producing 5 mg/mL. Because TB-500 aliquots are larger than most peptides, this keeps a 2 mg draw at a readable 40 units.
- Does adding more bacteriostatic water reduce the amount of TB-500?
- No. The vial always contains 10mg of peptide. More water only lowers the concentration, so the same amount of peptide is drawn at a larger volume and a higher unit mark.
